Narrative:

After I graduated from school I set up a very simple papermaking studio at home. I buy abaca pulp from Carriage House because I don't have a beater. I make paper in my back yard with a portable setup of saw horses, long boards and deckle boxes. I press with boards and buckets of water. It's a little crude but it works very well. I make many sheets at a time (because Chicago is cold in the winter) and store them on pellons in a refrigerator.
