Narrative:
In 1974 I studied with Walter Hamady at the University of Wisconsin when hand paper making was breaking new ground as an art medium. In 1976, Bruce Wineberg and I set up Dieu Donné Press and Paper in Soho in NYC. In 1987, I reincorporated Dieu Donné Papermill as a not for profit art organization to serve the international art community. Dieu Donné Press became my publishing company producing limited editions of artists books. For almost 40 years my professional life has been involved with hand papermaking through different roles as papermaker, publisher, artist, teacher and writer.
